Glock Information and Files

The Glock FRT kit is a drop-in ready modification engineered to allow a higher rate of fire, LEGALLY.

This page contains instuctions on assembly, videos of the FRT in action, and the model files.

The FRT kit comes with 6 pieces, each with a unique purpose.

There are 2 Nylon-CF triggers included, one has a slot to be used with the spring while the other doesnt.

There is 1 Stainless Steel Pointed Reset. This reset works best OEM glocks.

There is 1 Stainless Steel Rounded Reset. This reset works best on different variations of glocks and needs to be gradually filed to a tip until it properly engages.

There is 1 AR-15 Bolt Catch Spring used to tune the FRT action. When trimming the bolt catch spring do so coil by coil as too much will render it useless. The average spring length is 7.5mm. Add the bolt catch spring to the cavity of the trigger meant for the spring. Certian glocks, especially most Glock 19 variations might run perfectly fine without the spring.

There is 1 Modified Connector for use with most glocks. This Modified Connector only works when the FRT is installed and not with a standard trigger. It is possible that the FRT can work without this part. The modified connector also does not work on slimline glocks (read note below).

NOTE FOR GEN 5 GLOCKS: The slide catch must be removed when the FRT is installed.

NOTE FOR SLIMLINE GLOCKS (42, 43, 43x, 48): The modified connector may not fit on slimline glocks since it is slightly larger than OEM. Furthermore, some slimline glocks might have the trigger permanently pinned to the trigger bar meaning a seperate trigger bar must be purchased in order to assemble the FRT.

Common Issues

The most common issue with the FRT is jamming/binding and there are multiple solutions depending on individual situations.

1. Lubrication, ensure firearm is properly lubricated.

2. Dry fire test, ensure firearm is clear, then pull the trigger and while your finger is still on the trigger, pull the slide back. If the trigger, along with your finger, is pulled forward without the slide binding, the FRT is properly installed. Otherwise it might be binding, see below.

3. Finger pressure, when firing the firearm, ensure your trigger finger isn't pulling the trigger too tightly as this could overcome the force of the trigger trying to go forward causing the pistol to jam. This is a very common issue.

4. Ammo/break in period, some Glocks, especially cheaper "parts kit" builds require slightly hotter ammo or a break in period to start functioning properly. Rather than using the cheapest possible ammo availabe, try using slightly more expensive ammuntion and put some rounds throught the pistol so that the FRT properly meshes with the other parts.

Regarding binding, if the pistol is not properly functioning during the dry fire test and everything is properly installed, binding is the most likely issue. This happens when the reset rubs and catches on the bottom of the slide. To fix this issue, switch from the pointed reset to the round reset. The rounded reset must be filed down to fit properly. An example is shown on the right.

Since Glocks come in many shapes, models, and variations, including afteramarkey components, it is difficult to pinpoint exact issues that apply to EVERY pistol. If you have any issues, contact us and we will help you through it.
